a sparkling red citroen…smiles… just tried to find your poetics post.. you can link this one up for OLN on tuesday if you like.. today we’re writing to the artwork by catrin welz-stein.. in case you wanna give it a try… would be cool…smiles
Hi Claudia, thanks for that, thought I had posted a link to a different poem in response to your choice as well,”where starlight begins”. Will double check, thanks again, Kevin
Really enjoyed this Kevin, I’m sure J.J. Byrne enjoyed 02:38 as well!!
I smiled a lot through your percussive performance! Why is it that the people who turn their stereos up the loudest to share with the world usually have the worst taste in music?
I have no idea but wouldn’t it be good to reply in kind?
Bada boom bada boom… love this.. you played it great man.. Wonder if opera would have cured him.. And the worst part of the music is what we hear through the car…
ha. you have a voice kevin that would make the phone book fun to listen to…badaboom….smiles. i think you should go play that music for him…perhaps it would be an education…lol
This is really cool – I love your percussion, and love your reading of the whole poem. I smiled all the way through it, so thank you.. bada-boom!
Love this piece and the repetition of bada boom really adds to it.
Interesting..when i was much younger i enjoyed the heavy aggressive bass beat of the disco scene..and then there was Kenny G..and then there was no music i could tolerate eventually..then only talk radio.and then simply golden silence..
Most amazingly now at 53 i want that bass beat again…
A midlife bass crisis perhaps..i know not for sure..but classical music..that is also a type of forte..when i create my own piano music..is now surprisingly also no longer attractive to me…
so i guess.. i’ve seen both sides now..and it seems..that a certain energy..is responsible for these differing desires in music..but i’m not sure i can put my finger on it..other than CHI..and the balance if WH@IS..but not sure..yet…
Anyway..happy!2014! to ya..2!as well…
